Le Balamina

Very spacious rooms. Very clean. A bit outside of the main centre. If you do not have a car, there is a free shuttle that takes you to the centre but you have to check the night route schedule because they appear to not always run at the stop near the hotel. Receptionnist who checked us in was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again in the future because of the quality of the room for the price we paid. You do not see that kind of spacious room at that price in this country.

Le Balamina was an amazing stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the rooms were spotless. The view from our room was simply breathtaking, especially waking up to the mountain side. However, I did have a minor issue at the restaurant. The fish I ordered didn’t quite taste up to par. Thankfully, the server was incredibly helpful and the staff promptly addressed the problem, offering me a complimentary dish as an apology. Overall, I had a perfect experience and highly recommend Le Balamina.

We booked a room at Hotel Le Balamina in Porto Vecchio well in advance, specifically requesting an upper-floor room with a nice view. The booking was also quite expensive. However, upon arrival, we were given a ground floor room with an unkempt garden full of insects and a view of a concrete wall, directly next to a busy and noisy road. The garden is also easily accessible from the parking lot, which means we can't leave anything outside and don’t feel very safe—especially since the hotel seems to be located in what looks like an industrial area. Despite multiple requests to change the room, we were simply told the hotel was fully booked. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as there are very few guests and the parking lot is nearly empty. Very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.
