Le Bel Air Resort Luang Prabang

A beautiful hotel, rooms spacious and clean and the gardens around the accommodation blocks are lovely. Nice pool and bar area. Be aware though if you are staying at this hotel in the quieter season they do close the restaurant and serve food at the pool bar The breakfast was nice but not a huge amount of choices.

Staff very friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious. Good swimming pool area, needs the bar facility improving for food provision. From the front the hotel doesn't have 'curb' appeal but once through the lobby it opens up. Location about half a mile walk to the main street with lots of restaurants.

I am surprised with the 4.5 rating on Google for this hotel. At best, it is a three. Anyway, the property, while on a nice ground, is dated. Rooms were nice, I am sure, once upon a time. The breakfast is very mediocre for a 4 Star Hotel. We have traveled for 3 weeks in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. This was the worst breakfast of all the hotels. The service was also poor. Not too many staff members comprehend English or are able to communicate. That is still acceptable, but what was not acceptable to me was refusal to send milk/creamer to the room so that I can make my tea. I was asked to walk down to the restaurant! The location is also not great. While all good properties are near the central area, this property is on the other side of the river.
