Le Cannes Hotel

We had a great stay at Le Cannes Hotel in Chiang Mai last year. The reception staff were very kind and attentive, making us feel welcome even though we only stayed for one night. If you’re visiting Chiang Mai and need a place to stay, I highly recommend Le Cannes Hotel. It’s conveniently located very close to the city center. Definitely a great location and good value.

Bit of a steal - while I would not have booked this myself, spent a few nights here on a work trip and it was a very pleasant stay. The rooms are quite spacious, relatively new, clean, nothing to write home but also nothing to complain about. For the price point listed online, in a good location, this is good value for sure. Do bring earplugs though as it's next to a busy street, but that's quite standard for a lot of city hotels, of course.

It will be fair to say that the rooms are confutable and large enough. Also well decorated. The location is good if you have a car. Only 6 min drive from the city center. The service was fine and the staff were very kind, however, there were ants in our room. It says on booking that the staff speaks English, non of them new English and we had to use google translate, in the lobby during the late hours it was dark, for some reason the lights all around the hotel were off. The breakfast was disappointing. There was no variety of food. And the orange juice was industrial at best. We also had a strange white box on the wall in our room which sometimes spontaneously made noises. The water temperature in the shower changed alone without touching it, as if it was effected by other water facilities in the building. All in all if the hotel will fix the points I have mentioned above it could have been a great one.
