Stayed for 4 nights, thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is great, room is nice and modern, bathroom is large, shower is great. The gym is well equipped. The pool, hot tub and sauna are so nice to rewind and relax after a day’s sightseeing. The Sheraton Club at floor 37 is one of the best hotel lounges. All day coffee and snack, breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvre are great. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative thing is you need to wait for elevators when the hotel is busy.
This hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. Pros: room is decent size, clean and updated. Bottled water is provided to members. Service is efficient and location is good downtown. Cons: Really bad sound proofing. Can hear neighbors clearly, people opening and closing doors and elevator sounds are super loud. Lots of parties too, making sleep difficult. They also charge $3 per piece of luggage to hold. I don't know any other hotel that does this... talk about nickel and diming your customers! Food was also not good. The price point is also extremely high for the product you are getting. Not good value for money. Overall I think the negatives far outweigh the positive so I would not recommend this hotel. EDIT: A manager has reached out proactively to provide some remedy to the above, which is much appreciated. Upgraded service and overall star level to reflect. (3.5 Stars)
We were genuinely looking forward to our stay at Le Centre, as it’s an older hotel with a certain charm. However, our experience was marred right from the start by a truly unacceptable hygiene issue: we found a disgusting stain on the toilet seat when we first checked in. I immediately reported it that night and asked if someone could come clean it. There was no follow-up at all. The next day, I followed up again at reception, only to find out there was no record of my initial complaint. I showed the photo again, and yet, nobody ever apologized or acknowledged the seriousness of the situation — it felt as though it wasn’t their responsibility or concern. In addition to this, guests should be aware that the bathroom has no fan, and the AC is the older kind that cycles on and off, which might affect your comfort depending on the season. All in all, while the hotel may have some old-world charm, the service and hygiene standards fell well below expectations — especially for this price point. There are definitely better options in the area.
