Le Chamois d'Or

This hotel has been the find of our holiday. Tucked away at the top of a hill (don't be put off by the steep and winding road, even if some of the hairpin bends are incredibly tight), everything gets 5 stars from us. The staff are all multilingual, friendly, and so helpful. Our room and balcony gave stunning views of Mont Blanc, was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The bathroom was compact but fitted out to a very high standard. The evening meal was reasonably priced, but of superb quality, and three courses left us comfortably full . Our waiter was charming, knowledgable, and could easily work at the Ritz or Langhams. I anticipate that we will both sleep incredibly well as the bed is so comfortable, and the room is wonderfully cool. I know I've echoed the sentiments of others, but this is an outstanding hotel and deserves the recognition.

What a fantastic place! The lovely staff very kindly found us a room and a table at the restaurant last minute. Both were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, with an incredible view of Mont Blanc and we enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountain. The food at the restaurant was delicious and really good quality. Breakfast was also a nice selection. Service in all cases was excellent. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back!

This is one of the best places we have ever been. The hotel is facing the Mont Blanc and the view is magnificent. The staff is outstanding and very helpful . Carolin is a great host and she is very familiar with the area. The food is very good. We definitely recommend the place.
