Great food. Big rooms. Clean. Can’t go wrong.

We stay 3 adults and one child here in large 2 floors room. Very very helpful personal both on reception and in restoran. Very friendly. Nice view, interesting history of the place. 10 min from city centre by taxi or car. Recommended for rest and good feeling.

I modify my review, trying to be fair, I probably expected to much before my arrival. The building is authentic 14th century and certainly marvelous. The rooms have a lot of charme and give you a genuine feeling of the past. No aircon or insect screens though. The restaurant is quite good (Bistro, main restaurant was closed). Head waiter was very professional, rest of the staff not so much. The premises are nice, but unfortunately the modern world built an industrial zone just beneath it, so you have road and rail noise when you try to relax at the pool. The property could benefit from some investment into maintenance (Pool, Parking, Bathrooms). Everything is clean but a refresh wouldn't harm. Staff overall looked kind of bored or unhappy to me. Thus, I was missing the feeling of being truly welcomed. I think it's a 3 star hotel with potential to become a real 4 star. Recommended if you get a good rate.
