This Château-Boutique Hotel is MAGICAL place to stay in Rio De Janeiro. Be sure to be welcomed by Pablo, who is the manager of this beautiful place.Pablo is available at any time if you need anything (concerning the hotel, informations on the city, the food...) and will be delighted to help you with anything you need ! We had a magical time there also as we were alone in the Hotel. That was "just like home" ! The place is fantastic, the house is really charming and welcoming, the decoration is stunning, the view on Rio is incredible... We loved enjoying the view everyday, each morning during breakfast outside and at night for dinner. The staff is so kind, and the breakfast was copious and delicious, served at the table at the time of your choice. The 2 dinners there were fantastic : Thamy the cook has been a wonderful encounter for us : her cuisine is so yummy, delicious and adapts to what you desire (fish, meat, vegetables...) Everything was perfect to relax, recharge the batteries, enjoy the beauty of the place and the view, and eat wonderful food. Thank you Pablo, Thamy and the team ! We will be back for sure ! Make sure you step by Le Chateau when you are in Rio. :) The + of this place : * The beauty of Joa Boutique Hotel * The view of Rio de Janeiro * The pool * The food * The staff : Pablo (the manager) and Thamy (the cook) were amazing ! :) * The tranquility of this place * Nature and WILD in the middle of the city !
Ok, let's go. 1. View is really perfect. 2. Rooms are looking old not the best quality of the furniture. Doors don't close completely. 3. There are a lot of wild monkeys and they are super cute, you can feed them. 4. At night you are alone. 5. The elevator is BROKEN you have to climb on the 5th floor by stairs. 6. Breakfast is very simple. Few breads, few cheese and fruits. Check out took more than 30 mins.
Too expensive and not worth it. Dinner is great but for the prices in Rio, its extremely expensive. Rooms are old, and the furniture dirty. Hotel should consider lowering the prices of the rooms if they are over charging the food.
