Le Couvent Marseille

Very comfortable stay. Well positioned for walking around the Port and Le Panier. Convenient stroll to metro for connections to St Charles (or if you’re feeling fit a reasonable walk to station in about 25 mins). The apartment (no. 3) is comfortable (no a/c but thick walls keep rooms cool). Spacious and suitable for a couple. Host was helpful and offered useful tips/ideas for restaurants. TIP: if you have time do take a train journey for the day to Nime (it’s really beautiful) or Avignon or Aix en Provence. Each highlights how beautiful and charming local towns are (and really how poor many parts of Marseille are, I’m sorry to say).

Well appointed suite with good self catering facilities. Helpful host on site. Great location in Le Pannier and Old Port district in residential area with adjacent primary school. Good local shops and cafes nearby. Steep street and steps access.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Couvent in Marseille. It was conveniently located in Le Panier with easy access to Vieux Port, metro, and other parts of the city. The property is beautiful with comfortable beds and a large shower. There was a small kitchen for those who want to prepare meals. Be prepared to walk up some steps though as there is no elevator. I would stay here again.
