Le Frégate Provence

We had a perfect stay of three nights. Standard room is spacious, good bed and pillows. Breakfast and staff over there both great. Reception staff could be more open and enthusiastic, looks sometimes they’re hiding for the guests behind their bar, not looking up or pro-active connecting with the guests. House cleaning staff is doing a great job and very friendly and correct! Spa and pools are maybe a bit standard but as full access is included in room price, it’s perfect! The best thing however is location; views are amazing, every part of the day!!!

I stayed at Le Frégate Provence during the ELMS 4 Hours of Le Castellet. The hotel is in a beautiful area with vineyards and a golf course. Marie gave me a warm welcome and explained everything about the hotel. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful. The restaurant team were kind and made sure my meals were safe for my allergies. My room was very clean and had a lovely view. The hotel took great care of me, and I’m very thankful for that. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Disappointing stay – not worth the price or the stars Our experience at Hotel Fregate Provence was extremely disappointing and far from what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. We were told we could have lunch at the brasserie, but when we arrived, the kitchen was already closed, and the staff handled the situation with rudeness and arrogance, offering no solution or apology. The service was simply unacceptable. At the pool, there was no space to sit and absolutely no service available. Again, not at all what you’d expect from a resort in this price range. The overall condition of the hotel was poor — it looks worn out and poorly maintained. Our room didn’t have functioning air conditioning, and most of the electrical outlets didn’t work, which is incredibly frustrating when you’re paying €300 per night. The only redeeming quality of this stay was the location, which is beautiful and well-situated near Bandol and its surroundings. Aside from that, it was a regrettable experience. Definitely not worth the money, and certainly not a true 4-star experience.
