Great location in the middle of the countryside. Quiet and romantic. The room we got was a mobilehome (not extremely nice for the price, our bad for not noticing) but we still enjoyed our stay and the common areas. There are other “normal” rooms/apartments in case you want a more comfortable stay.
We had lunch here with the family to celebrate a birthday. The food, the environment and the views were amazing, but the service was terrible. We had to ask twice for the kids’ menu, and again for the kids’ drink which the same waiter forgot as well. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, with only 2-3 tables occupied at any one point, we were left to top up our own wine glasses for most part of lunch. When it was time for dessert, the waiter came to confirm the orders, then proceeded to insist several times that he had the right orders when we informed him that he had made a mistake. However, when it was time for the bill, the waiter was very diligent, coming to us with the bill before we were done with coffee, and again to follow up within 2 minutes. We were also disappointed that the restaurant did not even offer a candle on one of the desserts, even though we made clear that it was a birthday celebration. For a 4 star hotel and a €450++ lunch for 5 adults & 2 kids, the service is unacceptable. What a pity.
STAY AWAY! RUDE STAFF AND UNETHICAL $$. We were traveling from California with two kids at this resort. We had an amazing trip in multiple cities in France which was ending at this resort. We loved the location of the resort and it's pool but we're not happy with the service. Specifically, after checkout they sneakily added a cleaning fee to our invoice without informing us. I have never experience this with hotels, only with Airbnb. I feel like this is unethical and uncalled for. This place was very nice and they could have gotten 5 stars from me if it was not for losing my trust by doing this one thing. Very short sighted. When we emailed them about the charge, they wrote a very derogatory email saying that they don't pick up crap (by which he meant some coloring paper from kids). That's some rude language for guests.
