The hotel was excellent in many respects, the room was satisfactory though more comfortable chairs on the balcony would be welcome. The pool was lovely and peaceful. The food was good, though there was not a great choice of dishes of on demi pension terms. The buffet was excellent in there was an extremely wide choice of cold dishes and an excellent selection of seafood. Overall, a very pleasant experience
We stayed at this hotel because our original booking in Canet was over booked. This is a great hotel in a lovely area. Staff generally very good. My wife and i have been vegan for several years and we know that eating away from home is always going to be difficult. We would like to see a greater choice of food options available that cater for our diet.
Tragic arrogant and unpleasant staff at the reception and the bar, making you feel vey unwelcome. Was already obvious at arrival without us opening our mouths so this cannot be just a typical "French" attitude towards foreigners, just seems like poor standards for staff selection and training. On the positive side, there is a nice, albeit a bit cold, pool (after you convince them to give you some pool towels, which for some reason seems like the weirdest thing to ask) and the food/restaurant is very good.
