Huge suites with comfy beds and plenty of space to spread out. The lobby was pretty and the place was overall quiet and had a sophisticated business atmosphere. I’d recommend staying if you’re a group of adults or a family with teens. Probably not a great fit for young kids. Only issues were several of us couldn’t figure out how to get the espresso machine to work properly and the WiFi wasn’t great one day (I couldn’t get my computer to connect at all). Overall it was a pleasant stay! Very close to lots of shopping and dining and felt like a safe area.
Overall great hotel for the price. Room is large, clean, but basic formica composite materials. Biggest disappointment is breakfast- mine was included with my room, but their pricing is super confusing and $28 for the hot portion of the buffet is insane (it’s hospital quality food). You’re lucky if the waitresses acknowledge you. Basically, it’s just not worth the effort.
I was disappointed with my recent experience at Le Méridien and, more broadly, with Marriott. Traveling with a toddler requires certain basic accommodations — one of which is access to proper refrigeration for milk. Unfortunately, Marriott has apparently transitioned to using beverage coolers in place of standard refrigerators. These coolers do not maintain a temperature suitable for storing milk safely, which is especially concerning for families with young children. While the staff was kind enough to offer to refrigerate our half-gallon of milk behind the front desk, this did not address our need for easy, immediate access during middle-of-the-night feedings. As a result, my husband had to purchase a cooler and ice — something that should not be necessary at a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, I ordered room service and received the most expensive plate of spaghetti I’ve ever encountered. While the crab cake that accompanied it was decent, the portion size was extremely small — perhaps three ounces of pasta. Including the service charge, tax, and gratuity, the total came to $50 for a single meal. For such a high price point, I expected both a more substantial portion and more prompt service; the meal took nearly an hour to arrive. Overall, the experience did not align with the standards I’ve come to expect from Marriott. I will be looking into rewards at other hotels chains for future travel.
