Took myself and my son here for a little summer getaway together. Booked online. Arrived and parked easily. Checked in no problem but when we got to our room, the room wasn't cleaned it was booked already with other peoples stuff in there. Had to go back down to change the room. Room service was a tad expensive so we ate out or downstairs in the nice restaurant in the lobby. My son love that for breakfast since they made Texas shaped waffles! We spent a day at the aquarium and LEGOLAND. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Pool was a decent size but the chlorine levels were so high that as soon as we walked in our eyes were irritated and we couldn't breathe well with the heat and the fumes/smell. At least it was clean I guess. Just too strong. We plan to come back and stay on our next mommy and son summer vacay. Thank you for the fun stay and memories Le Meridien!
The building is absolutely beautiful! Convenient parking, friendly staff, with clean and spacious rooms. My only complaint is that the restaurant/bar area is so insanely hot. I’ve stayed twice. The first time I thought maybe the air was broken, but when it was the same temperature the second time, I realized this is a thing here. Incredibly disappointing, considering I would have loved to enjoy those amenities. This is the only reason I would second guess another stay. UPDATE: I gave the hotel another go…. Phenomenal experience! Air was on so I did get to enjoy the restaurant and bar. Both food and service was absolutely amazing. The bartender Marion was fantastic! He remembered me from my last visit so it made my visit pleasantly personal. This kind of service truly enhances a hotel stay. Oh and I highly recommend the Miso Salmon.
The hotel is located in a nice, upscale area, which was a great first impression. However, the parking situation was confusing and took some time to figure out, especially with the app-based payment system. Upon check-in, I had requested early access to our room, but it was not ready when we arrived. We ended up waiting an hour before receiving a room. While the front lobby had a pleasant appearance, it was uncomfortably warm. Staff explained the delay by saying the hotel was sold out, although we rarely saw more than four guests at a time, and the hotel was very quiet. The room itself was spacious, which is the main reason this review isn't lower. However, it was also very warm and had a strong odor of mold, especially around the bed area. I started feeling unwell after lying down. The headboard had visible stains, likely from previous guests’ wet hair, which was off-putting. Additionally, there was only one accessible power outlet near the bed, making it difficult for both my wife and I to charge our devices at night. Overall, the hotel felt outdated and didn’t meet the expectations set by its location or price. It has potential with some updates and improved cleanliness, but our experience was disappointing.
