5* experience! As a platinum member, they upgraded us to an updated 1 bedroom suite on our honeymoon. They put rose petals on our bed and were extremely accommodating. While the property is under renovation we barely realized it. The pool is nice and they also have a good breakfast spread. It’s also centrally located. We look forward to returning once they’ve completed their renovation.
Great hotel under renovation, there was minimum noise though. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. The pool is divine and the rooms are great, very spacious! The hotel has an ATM which is very convenient and you can find taxis outside at any moment. The only downside that needs some attention is that they offer breakfast outdoors by the pool, which is amazing, but the wasps and insects are covering the food. I couldn’t try any of the food that it was not covered. At the end of service they were removing the wasps from the honey jars with a spoon and closing them back to use on the following day, food safety is not they are greatest priority.
As Gold members, we expected a higher standard of service and comfort, but unfortunately our experience fell far short. If you're looking for a relaxing poolside experience, this is not the place. The music around the pool was extremely loud, seemingly to drown out the noise from ongoing construction, that made it impossible to unwind or enjoy the area. To make matters worse, we were not informed about the construction when booking, which feels misleading. We were also shocked to be woken up at 1:15 AM by food service knocking on our door. They had the wrong room, but the situation left us completely unsettled. To make matters worse, the phone in our room didn’t work, so we had to physically go to reception to find out what was going on as we were quite shocked and didn't want to open the door as we felt uncomfortable. The staff offered no apology and told us it wasn’t their fault we were woken up. On top of that, be wary of the bellboys overcharging for taxis. We were told it would cost 50-70 at 6pm to get into town, but the real rate during the day is between 20-40. We are also both gluten intolerant and there body wash contains gluten, when asking for alternative they cannot provide so we had to purchase our own. We chose this property expecting a premium, stress-free experience, but we are left feeling disappointed
