Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nürnberg

I like the old charm kept by the hotel. The rooms are clean and nice with AC - and the service is just stellar. The breakfast buffet is great to get started, and the location is prime! Also enjoying a glass of wine or cocktail at night at the bar is recommended! Will come back any time :-)

Rarely if ever have I had better service/personnel with superb room quality with outstanding location at any Marriott property than at the Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg. I booked two consecutive nights as a Platinum Elite in a somewhat larger queen room and was upgraded to one of the best rooms at this property: a corner King Suite that overlooks Old Town Nurnberg from two windows and that also overlooks Main Station from two windows. There was a small refrigerator, a writing desk, robes/slippers, a fold-out sofabed, another sofa, and an upholstered chair all of which sat firmly and wonderfully, an ironing board and iron, and an early 20th century bathroom in excellent condition with all the details attended to with bidet. I have given Marriott a hard time about not giving us Elites a proper upgrade historically, but this time, I am giving full due when such an upgrade is given, and I so appreciate what this property did! Thank you! The buffet breakfast and the service was outstanding. The quality of the fruit salads, yes plural, were magnificent. Many properties will holdover the previous day's fruit, but my guess is the Le Méridien Grand starts every day with brand new fruit because it is so easy for fruit salad setting out to spoil. Every detail at this property is fully attended to, and that is rare. And I do not believe I ever saw a manager, and that is even more rare. As other reviewers have pointed out, this property lacks an Executive Lounge, and it sure could benefit from one. I would return here in an instant!!

Great location for a nice hotel in Nuremberg. Everything is good. Rooms are small but cozy. Good bathroom but without thermostatic taps. Everything dressed in an "American Luxury" style which tries to impress but doesn't make it. Service is great, probably the best with the location. People wer nice and efficient.
