Le Méridien Hualien Resort

Beautifully designed five star hotel in the center of Hualien. There are not so many tourists these days so the hotel feels especially secluded and peaceful. My room was spacious with mountain/city view. Darren at front desk was extremely helpful when I checked in and suggested late dinner ideas. He also kindly offered the late check out I needed on the last day and made arrangement with the 8th floor staff so I can enjoy the pool/sauna amenities (which are amazing) even after the check out. Lovely stay and hope to be back again soon!

This is a beautiful hotel and we had a great time staying there for a weekend trip from Taipei. Yes, they have had to ratchet back on staff and some services as the region struggles to recover, but the staff they have are lovely, and want to help. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable and the Onsen hot springs and pool was amazing. The hotel was sparkling clean. Included food was delicious. The front desk staff were super helpful and kind including helping us rebook our trip back to Taipei after a train snafu. We highly recommend staying here and supporting this region getting back on its feet.

Impressive facilities, however there are a lot room to improve, eg, staffs training, the service quality. Etc The roof top is only for rent which means the guest in the hot is not allow to use/ totally 🤔😵‍💫nonsense. It’s an international brand but with a local standards😆
