Le Méridien Santiago

We stayed at Le Meridien for 3 nights and loved the central location—lots of shops, restaurants, and sights within walking distance. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the lobby has a nice, modern feel. However, the rooms are definitely outdated. We stayed in the 21 floor, and the AC didn’t cool properly, which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. We did notice renovations happening on other floors, so improvements are on the way—but we didn’t get to experience them. The breakfast was just okay, nothing memorable. On the plus side, the gym and pool were decent. With updated rooms, this hotel could be a great stay.

We stayed here for nine days and enjoyed our time very much. Not for the hotel itself but for the staff. The hotel itself was disappointing. I made my reservation based on my experience with Le Meridian and Marriott brands and reputation. The quality was not what I expected. The rooms and the hallways need attention (walls need to be repaired/painted) and the carpeting is stained and needs to be changed. The windows were very dirty and took away from the view. If I say we could not see anything from our 20th floor room , I am not exaggerating! That said, here are the positives: - Wonderful and kind staff. Especially Adolfo Quintero whose warm and professional hospitality made each morning brighter. He truly is an exemplary staff member for being so welcoming to all the guests. - A great breakfast buffet - Comfortable beds - Efficient Room Service - Swimming pool on the third floor deck - Close walking proximity to Lastarria, Bella Vista, and many other attractions

A little late to my review since I stayed in late November/ early December for a few days before going to Patagonia (I wasnt able to go). I love the location because it’s close to a lot of places I wanted to visit, and the neighborhood has the “vibes” I was looking for. But as you can tell from the other reviews, the rooms are very OUTDATED, and the prices reflect that. The staff is really nice but there were a lot of reviews on the Marriott site itself that a lot of theft occurred and I’m wondering if it’s the city itself, the neighborhood, or the hotel being targeted. My phone got stolen and they weren’t too worried about it (which leads me to believe it’s a common occurrence or something). It is the only Marriott property in the area and there’s probably a reason why the W and Ritz are somewhere else. This hotel was a previous Hilton hotel I think. The staff took good care of me but the rooms were just outdated.
