Le Méridien Tampa – A Hidden Gem Near the Courthouse I recently stayed at Le Méridien Tampa and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with clean, stylish hallways and spotless rooms. The convenience of having a restaurant and bar right on the premises was a huge plus, and I especially appreciated the complimentary coffee available in the lobby each morning. There's also a small café on-site, which made it easy to grab a quick bagel or pastry before heading out. The staff were outstanding—from the front desk team at check-in to the valet attendants—everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. I stayed here overnight due to jury duty and chose this location for its proximity to the courthouse. It turned out to be a perfect decision. It was an easy walk to the courthouse, and being able to leave my car parked at the hotel for the day made the entire experience much less stressful, especially since I was unfamiliar with the area. Overall, Le Méridien Tampa combines charm, convenience, and excellent service. Beautiful pool area as well. I was solo female traveler I felt completely safe and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone needing a place in downtown Tampa—especially if you're visiting the courthouse or simply looking for a stylish and comfortable stay!
Hotel is amazing, seems to be newly renovated and all the rooms are different. However, their valet parks the cars in an open air public parking lot a few blocks away. I was looking for a nice hotel with valet in downtown Tampa and chose this one. I won’t be doing that again.
My first interaction at this property was after a super late flight delay and a late check-in. I was greeted by the night front desk guy with gauges. I get that someone working the night shift might be a little quiet, but there's still a basic level of friendliness you expect. He didn’t have it. That matched a review I’d seen a few weeks earlier, so it clearly wasn’t a one-time thing. He just seemed like he didn’t want to be there, which I kind of understand because the property itself is pretty average. That said, if I were being paid to be there, I’d be a bit more inviting as the first person guests see and speak to. The room had a strong smell, like rubber and oil, that I can't really describe better than that. When I got home, all my clothes smelled like I’d been working in a mechanic shop. I mentioned it to the front desk, but they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. That was hard to believe. The hotel isn't terrible, but it’s definitely not as upscale as the photos make it look. It feels dated inside. That said, most of the staff were very friendly and would often greet you as you came and went. The valet guys were always on point, and my experiences with the restaurant team were great, especially the breakfast and lunch servers and the food and beverage director. The AC in the room worked really well and stayed consistently cold, which was a plus. Housekeeping also did a great job keeping things clean during our stay. I wouldn’t stay here again, but overall the location isn’t bad. If I came back, I’d probably stay near the River Walk instead. If you’re coming here for the vintage aesthetic and expecting an Autograph Collection-level experience, this isn’t it
