The hotel is very sad with broken unmaintained parts everywhere I looked. I ask for a tour and part of it included a walk down a few flights of stairs via cell phone lighting! The pool area smells like mold and again more broken doors and burned out lighting. I did not see any rooms after deciding I did not want to put my friends from out of town in this place.
This is a hotel in a 5 star location but a crumbling 2.5 star shell. The staff deserves a 0 star rating. I needed a last minute reservation for 4 due to the heat going out in our rental apartment around the corner. The hotel tried to quote me a price of 600DT for an executive room with a "deal" of only 400DT since it was 9pm at night. Too bad I could book it online for 250DT a room. I booked online and when I came back with the family they started to yell at me about my booking of two rooms being for 2 adults and not 2 adults and 2 children. After arguing the children should be free and then saying just charge me the extra they told me to rebook. I rebooked for a total of 17USD difference. While this was going in the receptionist checking me in continued to put me on hold while I was standing in front of her to answer the phone. In the end the rooms were ok. The breakfast was non existent (as the staff made sure to repeatedly tell me I didn't qualify for free breakfast) and the service was sub par.
This hotel is atrocious. Wi-Fi is there but reception in the room is non-existant and if you wanna have any kind of connection you have to go to fancy looking lobby. There was no teapot and cups in the room, no gym, no towels feet, no slippers or bathrobe. Oh and there's a roach problem.
