I really like the architecture of this hotel. The location is quiet and just a 10 minute ride from downtown. Service was good but in the evenings there was often no one who really spoke English. The menu is pretty limited but when we didn't feel like going into town one night and had dinner there, it was very well cooked. We were disappointed that the drink menu contains cocktails but there was no one there capable of making them (I thought of offering to mix them myself!).
The hotel is in a fantastic location and has great potential. However the management needs to do more to cater for the Europeans who love to visit Laos. They need to improve the rooms, who found that we wanted more light in the room and a hand held shower. The breakfast needs to improve too. However the management did their best to make our stay a very comfortable, happy and relaxed experience. Annie and Richard Mead . UK.
This hotel has gone into decline based on previous reviews. The rooms are a nice size but the decor is very poor with no maintenance for a long time. Staff are generally good , the food was terrible especially breakfast. There is no bar area other than reception and the location is out of the town with no restaurants locally to visit. Best thing about the hotel was the pool area although there were areas that needed major maintenance.
