BEWARE! Le Palais Paysan – Wedding Nightmare & Dishonest Practices 🚨 I never imagined having to write this, but Le Palais Paysan in Marrakech ruined my dream wedding and stole my money. They took a €8,197.20 deposit, made false promises, and then completely ignored me. 🔴 Here’s what happened: ✔️ Paid a deposit in 2019 based on their agreed pricing. ✔️ Forced to postpone due to COVID-19 – they initially agreed to reschedule. ✔️ When I rebooked in 2022, they DOUBLED the price and refused to honor our agreement. ✔️ Passed between SIX different managers – all rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. ✔️ Offered a 50% refund, then stopped responding entirely. ✔️ No refund, no accountability, no integrity. ⚠️ WARNING: DO NOT book your wedding or event here! Their shady practices, false advertising, and lack of customer care make them completely untrustworthy. 🛑 What I’m Doing About It: 🔹 Filing a formal complaint with Moroccan tourism authorities & consumer protection agencies. 🔹 Disputing the payment through my bank & payment provider. 🔹 Exposing them through press, influencers & wedding blogs. 🔹 Posting reviews everywhere – Trustpilot, Google, TripAdvisor, social media, etc. 💬 If you’ve had a similar experience, please share your story in the comments. Be vey careful if booking here!!☢️⚠️⛔️ We booked our wedding for November 2025 in December 2024 They completely Broke us They cancelled our booking destroying our dream wedding It took us 4 weeks to get our nearly £10,000 deposit back Due to exchange rates we lost £300 on this Alone. We are also set to lose £3300, due to flights booked, invitations etc We have really had to fight to get our deposit back and now have solicitors on the case to try and get our losses back. We are hurt that they feel this is ok 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 We are now unsure wether we will get married in Morocco 🇲🇦, we have contacted the Moroccan tourism office
I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this so-called "luxury" hotel. First of all, the service was painfully slow. Every time we requested something, we had to wait ages, as if they didn’t care whether we were taken care of or not. Items were forgotten after ordering. To top it off, the manager was shockingly rude. We bought a bottle of wine from duty-free and wanted to refrigerate it, only to discover there was no minibar in our room. When we asked if they could refrigerate it for us, the manager, with an air of complete smugness, refused. She condescendingly stated that at “luxury hotels,” guests don’t bring their own wine. Her only “solution” was to take a picture of the bottle and later decide on a corkage fee! Seriously? The entire attitude was unwelcoming and completely lacking any service mentality. Moreover, the hotel is super hard to get to and can only be accessed through an abysmal dirt road. If you’re looking for a relaxing, guest-friendly experience, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This hotel clearly doesn’t understand hospitality.
