Le Petit Coq Aux Champs

Everything was perfect, from the reception, to the room, to the locstion among beautiful gardens and, of course, the food!! No effort was too much to help, I am partially disabled and the care and attention was admirable. No less attention was given to my perfectly able husband!

We returned to stay at Le Petit Coq aux champs ... and had no regrets. The hotel is set in peaceful countryside (much appreciated if you live on a busy street in town!). The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is generous and the restaurant dinner was delicious.

Beautiful hotel and location, couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and private stay. The standard room is furnished nicely, the balcony has a great view of the thatched roof, and although I speak no French the staff was kind and helpful. I only did not expect that the staff was very small, helping the restaurant and the reception at the same time. Therefore you have to sometimes go to the restaurant to find the receptionist. The reception closes at the end of the afternoon so if you need something in the evening you have to ask the restaurant service for help. The hotel is old so the upstairs hallways is a little antiquated. The bathroom could be cleaned better and the beds are a little hard. If you only speak English, be aware that the receptionists speak little English so it may be hard to communicate. We still had an enjoyable stay and because there were few guests we had a lot of privacy at the pool too.
