Amazing location, so lovely welcoming. Very calm area. We were told by their team that they will do complete renovation of all the hotel rooms and spa! We are looking forward to visit again after the works are done! Thanx to all staff of Relais Malmaison, we had a wonderful, calm stay and the spa treatments were so fabulous 😍….and the restaurant is worth of trying !
This is just not a level of Radisson group hotel. But overall great value, you get what you pay for. One hour of spa per day is included (reservation required). Breakfast is too simple for a 4-star hotel, but acceptable.
The rooms were modern and the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. However, there were small annoying faults that you would not expect from a 4-star hotel. The WiFi was very poor and most of the power points did not work with adaptors, which made charging our devices difficult. Also, we had to ask (!) for a kettle to make tea. The breakfast was adequate but not amazing, but 10 out of 10 for a great selection of high quality loose leaf teas. Lunch, however, was very poor. I had a Thai green curry, which was just a whole lot of bland chicken with a green sauce poured over it that looked as if it had come straight out of a jar. Not a single vegetable to go with it. The only outdoors seating was in a roofed over space outside reception that looked as if it had not been swept in days. It was so dreary and soulless that you did not want to spend any time there. A few tasteful planters would have gone a long way to cheer this space up. Also, there is a garden of sorts. So why not place a few benches under some of the trees for people to sit? The place is fine for business travellers (although the WiFi could be a problem), but I would not recommend this for a holiday.
