Loved the design of the hotel, antique architecture lovers will love it. Needs more attention and maintenance ( not that I was affected by anything), Hope that the new management that just bought the hotel takes good care of it. especially the elevators( spacious, but need more attention and upgrade). However the rooms AC was superb compared to other hotels some of them are fancy with bad AC.
Staff were brilliant and the hotel interior and gardens/pool were well kept. However the rooms were very inconsistent. We changed rooms twice due to things being missing or the air-conditioning not being good. I would stay here again because of the price and other positives but they need to make sure all the rooms have all the amenities that they say they provide.
Staff are friendly, rooms are dated and in need of some repairs, I reported several things that were in need of repair but nobody came to fix anything. It's dark at one point I couldn't find my room door it was so dark. They have a list of things going on none of which was actually going on? They had a menu for alcohol but didn't save any of it ? Food was cheap and good service was good a bit lengthy at times. Be aware of the taxis outside we was charged 100dim on our first trip out recommended by the concierge only to find you could get the same trip to the square for 40dim.
