Le Strange Arms Beachside Hotel & Lodges

We held our wedding at the Le Strange Arms Hotel last Saturday. From the very first meeting Tanya was so helpful and reassuring. On our special day we were blessed with sunshine, which only enhanced the already beautiful setting and location. All the staff were amazing, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding breakfast was held in the Palace Suite, we had a 3 course sit down menu and the food was gorgeous. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal and how well they'd been looked after. If you are thinking of getting married there, don't hesitate, you really won't be disappointed. Stayed here recently for a long weekend in spring. The pros are that it’s a lovely location close to the beach, the view (if you have one) is very nice, the family room is an excellent size, and the overall hotel feel is very cozy and traditional. The cons are that the hotel could clearly do with a little investment, I have to say many of the staff are not that friendly, the breakfast and dinner is quite average, the snooker room is permanently closed following flood damage last year (this actually made a difference to our stay as we were really looking forward to using the snooker table) and the sole bar in the hotel is poorly manned; there is a 90% chance if you go to the bar in the evening that there will be nobody manning it and you will have to wait a good 5 minutes until someone shows up.

Stayed here for one night, dinner bed and breakfast in a superior room. Was really looking forward to it as it was a surprise from my husband for my 70th birthday. However I was disappointed with the dinner menu. The food was ok but would have expected a better choice and selection for the money . Staff were friendly.
