A great hotel to stay in Paris. We have a very positive experience staying 2 nights in this hotel. The crew are warm and friendly and willing to help. They have a decent afternoon tea between 4-6pm which we were invited to as we checked in just 20mins before 6pm which was a very nice surprised. Breakfast is one of the best we had ever though it's pretty basic offering but the quality is really good so it was one of the highlight of this hotel. Room is also pretty spacious for Paris standard but a bit outdated maybe they can fix the creaking sound from the bathroom door as it might bother you if someone goes to bathroom whilst the other one sleep. The bathroom though is good size, clean with good amenities. Overall this a very good hotel in a good location in Paris.
Visited Paris for my birthday (I just wanted to see the Eiffel Tower). This hotel was perfect for my stay. They have a lovely breakfast buffet with a variety of food. Be sure to get the daily breakfast option along with your booking. This was the best part for me.
Nice Hotel In The Center of Paris - But Off The Main Tourist Area (Long Walks) Our stay at Hotel L'Echiquier was very nice. The room was spacious and somewhat quiet. The staff were responsive and nice. The morning breakfast and service was very good. Our room faced the street, and there was some construction and street noise early in the morning. One downside, the hotel is a bit off the main tourist area, so the walk can be a bit long and time consuming. Traffic, especially in the afternoon, can be gridlocked. Walking is definitely faster (Use Rue St. Denis when walking to Notre Dame, primarily a pedestrian walkway). To save time and our feet, we opted for the Metro, which is close by, and got us to the tourist areas near the Eiffel Tower, in just a few minutes (BTW, you will still do a lot of walking between sites). I would rate this hotel a little lower than a 4-star hotel, around 3.6.
