We had a brilliant time staying in the Maidens Tower. The room was excellent and the staff at reception and throughout the grounds are very friendly and welcoming. If you stay at Leeds you get to walk around most of the grounds in the evening to yourself when it's closed off to the general crowds. If you get a picture perfect evening like we did it makes for a fantastic occasion and worth the money alone.
As close to being in the Castle itself as you can get for the night. Lovely room, comfy bed and slept like the dead! Of i have to throw in a criticism, then it would be that the mattress was just a tiny bit on the hard side. Highly recommend
The location is the best thing about this place. The views of the castle and surrounding area from the 'Margaret of France' room were stunning. The room is dated in its decor with some unusual photo choices. The room is spacious and clean, beds are hard, towels are heated, shower is nice once you work out the temperature, and there is a large range of bathrooms supplies. Is it worth the price tag? No. Breakfast was a let down, there is limited options from their menu and available continental area and the scrambled eggs are the worst we have had: Undercooked with a creamy texture. Not our cup of tea.
