Lee's Boutique Resort

The hotel staff were so welcoming. When floods closed the national park for a day, they helped me to find other things to do nearby. The hotel and rooms are charming; the included breakfast is EXCELLENT. My only complaint is that the AC did not work and it was 90+ degrees each day, but I fortunately brought a small battery powered fan since I had read reviews saying the same. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants or the park entrance.

Lee’s Boutique Resort is a great option for any westerners looking to stay in a local hotel that still feels familiar. The hotel is on a less busy street, but you can still hear street noise (talking, cars, honking) due to the building’s construction. There are plenty of local restaurants, street food vendors, produce vendors, and some clothing stores within a 5-minute walk. Authentic Chinese food is the main food option we found in the area. We booked a Twin room which had more than enough space for two people and our luggage the mattresses were larger than American twins, possibly a queen size. The mattresses are firm with very soft linens and a heavy duvet. The in-room AC cools the room quickly. The bathroom features a fancy toilet with a heated toilet seat. The shower had great water pressure. The door to both the shower and the toilet are sliding glass with an opaque covering in the center which may be uncomfortable if you are traveling with someone you aren’t close with. We loved supporting a family business. The owner’s son speaks English, but the hotel also has a handheld translator which worked well.

What a wonderful place! Very comfortable room with a perfect view onto the river from the bed and also from the bathroom. Very friendly staff. It seems almost like it's a family run hotel but am not sure. It's one block away from the busy streets, close by to all restaurants and shops but super quiet and without neon lights blinding you at night.
