5 Stars – A Dream Come True! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding day! From the moment we arrived for our tour, we were blown away by the stunning scenery, beautifully maintained grounds, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every detail was thought through, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The ceremony space was absolutely magical—our guests are still talking about the breathtaking views and how elegant everything looked. The reception hall was equally impressive: spacious, charming, and customizable to our taste. The team worked closely with our vendors and made the entire planning process feel effortless. We truly felt supported every step of the way. What really stood out was the professionalism and genuine care of the staff. They treated us like family, and it was clear they were just as excited about our big day as we were. We felt relaxed and fully present throughout the day because we knew we were in excellent hands. If you're looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, top-notch service, and a heartfelt experience, look no further. This place made our wedding unforgettable—and we will always be grateful.

This is a very nice hotel by the river Avon. We arrived late afternoon. The check-in process was going smoothly. We’ve got a good recommendation for a restaurant in town which we followed. the hotel room was nicely decorated. There are two big windows which open to the garden and the river, very romantic. The parking space was large, however, to walk from the reception to our room along the Hotel building was rather cumbersome. There are steps to make every now and then and there are two more internal doors, not suitable for people with moving difficulty. The hotel breakfast was good, but the coffee machine was not functioning well on that day. The view from the breakfast room towards the river was super nice. it took 20 minutes drive from the hotel to Stonehenge.

Chose the hotel based on reviews and location, a walkable distance into Salisbury and a bus stop outside the front door. The location by the river with the cathedral spire in the distance is excellent. The food was fine and the breakfast items were laid out in a reasonably logical manner, unlike many hotels we have been too. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The rooms are either in the old part of the hotel or most, via a long twisting walk, in the newer extension. This has been built on two levels and access for most guests requires you to walk up 7 steep steps and then either walk up or down 8 more, depending if your room is on the ground or first floor. The room was a good size with a door onto the riverside garden. The bed was all right but had seen better days and the pillows were on the flimsy side. The single, rather heavy duvet meant we were either too hot or too cold but a blanket was available for chillier nights. An iron and board and hairdryer were provided along with a bottle of water and tea/coffee items. The large kettle was difficult to fill under the bathroom tap. The room had the usual strange hotel lighting arrangements and although I reported a broken light, no repair was made while we were there. The bathroom was a good size and the toilet was very efficient. The shower was powerful and hot water seemed plentiful and the soap dispensers convenient. However, the large, deep-set vanity mirror was not well illuminated and the lack of shaving mirror (despite a double shaver plug) was a disappointment, as were the rather rough towels. A nice feature, I thought, was you that could choose to have your room serviced daily or not, but could obtain a fresh bottle of drinking water with ease. Overall, this was a pleasant place to stay but every time I made my way up and down stairs to the room, I was reminded of Fawlty Towers!
