Leicester Marriott Hotel

It was a pleasant stay. They have plenty of parking (Pay parking), and the rooms are spacious and quite nice. The staff is friendly. There is a basic gym that is open 24 hours. Guests can freely refill their water bottles at the gym. The hotel is located across from a retail park with plenty of dining options. There is also a large Sainsbury’s in the retail park, and guests can refuel their cars at a reasonable price. If I could change one thing, I would refurbish the gym by adding more free weights, weight bars, and a leg press machine. All in all, it was a good experience.

I stayed in this hotel as part of a national event. There were two other large parties staying at this hotel as well, but you wouldn’t have thought it! The rooms are exceptionally modern, clean, tidy, and comfortable. The cleaning stuff always about in case you had any queries or problems. I didn’t use the check on staff as our party had our own table when we arrived, but all staff that I met in the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was of an exceptional quality and filled me up for the rest of the day! I didn’t have any other food at the bar is a little higher than local pubs, but that is to be expected in a hotel.

This was a tough review as we have been visiting this hotel for years and loved it. The location is perfect, as is parking and room options. However, this time, despite booking 2 rooms together, we were on 2 separate floors on 3 separate occasions. Reception staff can be super helpful and would greet, especially the late shift staff .... a couple of staff are not there to help, which is a shame and, on one occasion, then resorted to whispering about us whilst we could hear sadly. Room cleaning is sporadic, and unless you are out of the room early before midday, rooms will not be cleaned. Despite requests, this remained disappointing. I'm really hoping this was just this time around. I truly love the product, and location makes it so convenient.
