The location of this hotel is very convenient, as it is right in the center of town near many shops and bakeries. Parking is a real pain. You must drive into a cramped underground parking lot and search for the Marriott logo to know which spots you can park in. It is also a little confusing at first to try and figure out which elevator to use to get into the hotel from the parking. The lot itself is a nuisance to try and park in, although it isn't a deal breaker. The staff was helpful and kind every time we needed something. The rooms are roomy and the beds are comfy. The bathtub/shower is very difficult to stand in, as it curves upwards and is narrow, forcing your feet into an uncomfortable stance for the duration of the shower. However, the bathroom has ample counter space and can accommodate more than one person at a time in it. The built in hair dryer didn't work properly and the outlet in the bathroom kept going on and off so I had to use a different outlet in the room for my flat iron. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed our stay. Side note: The Welcome to Leipzig sign lights up at night, and it was really neat to see it right outside our hotel window. It really added to our stay. I would stay here again for sure.
great hotel home from home, stayed two weeks a month for several years, the best breakfast ever and the added bonus breakfast turns to brunch at the weekends. perfectly located for the city, close to everything. lovely front desk staff, always helpful.
Hotel and Bar are really nice. What makes this one shine is the location in the city. You get outside the hotel lobby and you are in the city. 5 min walks to all kinds of places you want to visit: restaurants, bars, playgrounds, cafés, shopping. Awesome breakfast. The one negative thing that comes to mind is the very expensive parking ticket that is 27€ per day on top of your not-inexpensive room. As I said the location makes up for it but it is still another bill on the stack and definetly something you should consider when you are travelling by car.
