This is our go-to spot when we visit family on the Shores. We love the Leisure Inn! Right on the water, this place is affordable, clean and cozy. The owners are lovely, the breakfast spread is fantastic and the inn is right next to a wonderful playground, beach and splash pad! Our toddler loves it. There’s also a fab brewery a few steps away with great food and live music. Can’t wait for our annual summer trip this year! Thanks for the amazing hospitality, Team Leisure Inn :)

My husband and I have gone to this hotel twice before and we used to love it. We were looking forward to going back this summer while travelling, but now there are new owners and the horrible customer service I received over the phone resulted in us cancelling our two night stay this August (2025). Here’s a summary of my experience with the new owner. About a month and a half before our trip I called to book two nights at this hotel. I spoke with the new owner and explained how many people were in our family and what kind of a room I would need. The reservations were booked and I received a confirmation email that included the cost that was discussed over the phone. Exactly two weeks before our trip I get a cancellation email. I didn’t cancel our reservation, so I called and spoke to the owner. He began telling me that he tried to call me several times because there was no credit card linked with my reservation. I told him I never got any calls of any kind and no messages either. I asked if he had my other reservation in his system for the second night and if there was a credit card listed on that one - he said yes. I said “exactly, I gave my credit card twice over the phone for both bookings, so you would definitely have it.” With our trip being two weeks away I asked him to rebook our night that he cancelled in error (he of course wouldn’t admit it was his error - he kept talking as though I was in the wrong ). I got the confirmation email and it was $35 more than my original reservation. I called him back and told him the price was wrong. He began to tell me that it was because we had 3 children with us. I explained that when I originally booked both nights I explained everything to him over the phone (that we had two kids in playpens and the other one would need a bed) and everything was discussed the first time we spoke and a price was confirmed by email when I received the reservation confirmation emails. He began shouting at me and trying to explain that the price was because of the older kid. Again I told him all of this was discussed over the phone and I have confirmation emails with a price he quoted me with, so he should be honouring those prices we discussed. He was mad at me and shouting at me. I couldn’t believe how I was being treated. This was his error and I was being blamed for everything. I eventually told him to cancel my reservations. Later that night, I ended up booking our nights at the beach motel, but had to cancel those, because I found out that they are owned by the same people and I did not feel comfortable giving my money to someone who accuses me of being the issue and yells at me. If this is my experience on the phone with this hotel, I can’t imagine what my experience would’ve been in person. I am thankful I was spared from an awful stay at this hotel. What once was a quaint family friendly atmosphere is now a hostile and rude environment I would never want to step foot in.

The Leisure Inn used to be my favourite hotel to stay at in the tri-town, was always clean and friendly people. When I returned I found out it is now new owners who are extremely rude and unpleasant (when I went to check in the owner was sleeping at the desk). Upon entering my room it was filthy; stained and most likely used towels, hair in the bed, dirty carpets, DISGUSTING microwave full of tomato sauce. Upon complaining the girl came up to my room to check and was rude and disgruntled that I asked her to clean the room. So sad what happened to this hotel 😢😢😢.
