Location : Hotel is located away from main city on a hill, making it one of the most quiet and peaceful place to stay. There’s a Lemon tree hotel too in Thimphu so not to confuse with that one. View : You get the most beautiful and scenic view of mountains and valley from the rooms. All the room have a balcony that opens in same direction, making it perfect for any room but if you get a chance to choose, go for upper level room. Rooms : rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There’s a heater in room and washroom too because it get some snowfall in winter and even in monsoon you might need one during night but there’s no fan in the room (you won’t need AC there) which might be required for day time but that’s not the dealbreaker. Rest of the amenities are as mentioned on the website. Staff : Staff is always smiling and welcoming. Everyone is well trained, polite and friendly yet professional. Restaurant : they have plenty of food options. for lunch and dinner food is served on table and have buffet for breakfast. Food is prepared fresh and served hot. Taste can be a bit different for Indian guests but it is good enough for anyone to go to bed with a full stomach. Little bit of flexibility can take you long when traveling! Service : you are welcomed with honey cinnamon tea, which is really refreshing! Because the resort is situated on a hill, there’s good elevation from rooms to reception but they provide golf cart rides from reception to rooms, rooms to restaurant etc but you can also choose to walk around if you want to enjoy the property and the view. There was a little bit of problem with water pressure and hot water on first day but it was resolved by next day so no complaints about that. Overall, really enjoyed the stay and hospitality😀🙏
I had a truly wonderful experience staying at Lemon Tree Resort in Thimphu. The location is beautiful, with peaceful surroundings and great views of the hills and valleys. It felt like the perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and nicely designed which made the space feel both comfortable and unique. The bed was really cozy, and everything we needed was provided. What stood out most was the hospitality. Every staff member we met was kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The service felt personal and warm. The food at the restaurant was also excellent. I especially enjoyed the local Bhutanese dishes, which were full of flavor and clearly made with care. I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Thimphu.
Very good place. This too caters to the Indian 'packaged tour' variety. Noisy guests who don't want to sit and watch the beautiful Himalayas. Breakfast is limited with focus on Indian food and all the 4 days that we stayed there, it was the same menu barring one day when instead of a boiled egg, they served Egg Burji. The place is nice, and the terrace bar has the best view and ambience which unfortunately had no takers. Fortunately for us, we were the only ones on the terrace with exclusive service
