Very affordable and super clean capsule hotel. You can pay a little extra and get a mini-room. The bathroom area is cleaned regularly and there are toiletries for you to use. There’s also a sauna for you to relax in. My only criticism is that the door of the VIP room doesn’t close fully, so a crack of light is constantly coming into your room. If you’re a light sleeper, it might keep you awake.

This is my first time booking capsule in Japan. First impression is extremely terrible. If you are foreigner don’t ever choose this hotel, the old female clerk is extremely rude and racist. Her attitude and gesture are terribly disrespectful toward us (foreigner). She also said “THIS PLACE IS ONLY FOR THE JAPANESE” this is what my japanese friend translates for us. She even mocked us that if you cannot speak japanese, you should not stay here. This type of conversation triggered me to wonder how this type of person got fit into receptionists role. The room has full scent of stinky feet. There is not even an air purifier. After all, my view toward Japanese people is that they are nice and friendly. Unfortunately, this person literally ruin that impression. This review is truly based on my experience. To hotel owner or manager,sincerely, please reconsider this old female clerk she will only deteriorate your business reputation and service. The rest of them are fine. I’ll never ever visit this place again. *my watch Orient was stolen or lost at this place so to all guest please keep your eye on your valuable belonging.

My initial reservation was between 16th - 17th September but I was so impressed by the hotel that I extended my reservation as soon as I arrived. Upon my return the following night, I was unable to check-in due to the contactless payment methods I had to hand which were not accepted by the hotel. Understandably, the hotel advised that cash and card were the only payment methods they accepted; however, the lack of consideration and discourteousness from the Receptionist during this time was reprehensible. After attempting to submit payment via Apple Pay and Suica, I was crassly advised by the Receptionist that the hotel was unable to accept any guests who were unable to pay upfront. I was not expecting to be granted access to the guesthouse without making payment; however, my request to speak to a manager was denied. With consideration to the late hour I was checking in, I also enquired whether it were possible to submit payment using my card details via phone or by transferring the balance directly to a bank account; requests which were refused by the Receptionist with no further explanation. Throughout this entire process at the front desk, the Receptionist was unprofessional enough to keep breaking away from our exchange to deal with other guests which I understood as her disinterest in assisting me. After a final, failed attempt to make payment via a Chinese payment app, the Receptionist used a translation device to ask me to find another hotel. Not only was this ill-mannered on her part and embarrassing in front of other guests, I was bemused at her complete lack of empathy for the fact that it was past midnight and, as a tourist with no knowledge of the area, she was willing to dismiss me from the premises with no regard for the potential safety risks as a female travelling alone. My experience at LEO Capsule Hotel was very good on first impression but this incident involving a member of staff has been extremely disappointing.
