Leonardo Boutique Hotel The Lancaster Amsterdam

Lovely hotel for our short stay in Amsterdam. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent — just a stone’s throw from the tram, making it easy to get around the city. Our basement room was a good size, with a spacious bathroom and a great shower. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well with no noise at all. The room had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, and a mini fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Firstly booked a superior king room from the great images on booking.com. The room was nothing like the images and was not worth paying the extra money for a superior. Upon getting into the room the real disappointment started, coffee stains all over the floor made staff aware and stains still upon leaving. Location of hotel is fantastic if want to be outside the city but close enough to get back in on public transport. We were offered 4 free drinks along the road for the mess in the room, these drinks weren't worth the money and would rather of been moved rooms or it cleaned properly. Very disappointed with this stay, been to Amsterdam 6 times now and this hotel is by far the worst ive stayed in.

This is not a 4stars hotel. It’s hardly a 3 stars hotel. The room is so dusty, old, and tiny. The coffee machine, fridge and window are dirty. The beds are too small and have a mattress top that keeps falling off. When I asked for house keeping to fix the bed I was told that I need to request that a day before. They only provide shampoo and soap as toiletries. There is no conditioner, body wash or lotion. The staff is respectful and nice; however, the hotel is not worth the money.
