Excellent service during my recent visit to Antwerp! I arrived at the hotel after a long day of travelling. Staff could not have been more accommodating. Special mention to Mason who made me feel very welcome with her friendly approachable manner. This continued throughout my stay. Great value for money including breakfast. Special thanks to the kitchen staff who went out of their way to support my request for soya milk and generally ensuring that all food options were replenished for guests. Location is convenient and easily accessible. Only slight drawback is the slow speed of the lift but otherwise all positive. Had a wonderful time in Antwerp and look forward to visiting again in the future. Kind regards from Edinburgh.
I usually stay at this hotel because of its close proximity to Antwerp Central Train Station as its just a hop away. The whole hotel is like a small maze as rooms are scattered all across. I would say the architecture of this building is quite amusing. But then so goes the rooms, if you are lucky you will get decent rooms in size. If not you might just end up getting very tiny rooms and bathrooms. So if you are couple kindly make sure you book the right rooms. Overall the hotel is clean n decent. Staff are very polite and friendly. Breakfast buffet is good. However for lunch dinner etc I would avoid dining at Leornado. Overall a good location to stay at, but since it's just near the station it can get noisy (you need to keep the windows open as AC is still not operational) and also in the month of May(almost summers) they still don't have their AC running except for in Fresh Air mode.
Extremely poor WiFi — constantly disconnecting every minute, making it impossible to work or even scroll. The bathroom is shockingly small: you have to squeeze in sideways, shut the door behind you while standing almost on the toilet, and then maybe you’ll have enough space to breathe. Walls so thin, we could hear every cough, every step, every whisper from other guests. Not a chance to fall asleep. But if you do manage to fall asleep, be prepared to wake up early — not by your alarm, but by mosquitoes, insects crawling in, and the cleaning lady knocking on your door with a mop while cleaning. From the ceiling dropping visible spiderwebs. Check how big it is. The kind you can’t ignore. Clearly no one has cleaned them in a long time. The whole room felt dirty and neglected — not even close to what you’d expect for the price. And breakfast location is really weird — next to the elevator and reception.. The only small advantage is the location — if you’re traveling by train, it’s relatively convenient. But if not, be aware: the neighborhood doesn’t feel very safe or welcoming, especially after dark.
