Leonardo Hotel Berlin Mitte

Good hotel very well located in the centre and close to all attractions. Rooms compact but plenty of space for a few days. Not a lot of hanging or clothes storage in rooms but enough for a city break. Good breakfast selection, friendly staff. Clean and lovely area with lots of restaurants and bars close by. We asked for a room with a view and balcony by email and which we received on check in. Couldn't ask for more. Maybe a toaster in the breakfast buffet would be good addition but other than that great stay.

Had a very pleasant stay at your hotel. Very welcoming staff at reception and in breakfast area. Room was very spacious and clean. Great location for sight seeing as most things are only a 15 minute walk from hotel. Special shout out to staff who organised a nice set up table for breakfast on the morning of my wife's birthday and the lovely small bottle of sparkling wine to accompany breakfast. Had a great time in your beautiful city and will definitely recommend family and friends should pay a visit. Thanks to all your staff who made our trip enjoyable, they are a credit to your hotel

I would not recommend this hotel. Some of the three-star hotels were much better than this four-star hotel. I really don't know on what basis it was rated four-star. While its central location in Berlin and proximity to the U-Bahn are convenient, and the reception staff were polite and friendly, these are the only positives I can mention. On our first day, I went to the reception to report that the water kettle in the room was extremely dirty. To their credit, they replaced it quickly. However, when we returned in the evening, I found that the water I had placed in the "minibar fridge" wasn’t cold at all—the fridge simply wasn’t working. When I asked the staff, they told me it was just a "mini-bar" and doesn’t cool well. But if that’s the case, why do they advertise the rooms as having a mini fridge on their website and booking platforms? That’s misleading. From the first night, I noticed insects in the room—as shown in the photos I took. The air conditioning also didn’t function properly. We were uncomfortably hot, and I woke up drenched in sweat every morning. The rooms are extremely small and cramped, the furniture is outdated, and the photos online do not reflect the actual condition of all rooms. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had to pay for the entire stay upfront, even though I had booked directly through the hotel's website. I wasn't aware that the final price didn’t include the city tax, unlike other hotels I’ve stayed at. This meant I had no realistic option to check out after the first night and move to a better hotel. Overall, it was a frustrating and exhausting experience, mainly due to poor sleep in Hot summer days. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
