Leonardo Hotel Derby

Perfectly placed hotel just outside centre of derby, we used it for download festival and it also runs a shuttle bus from the hotel direct to the arena. Rooms are standard rooms but well looked after and always fresh towels provided when we get back to hotel. Also, the hotel bar opens till early hours and also a decent selection of food served very late on as well.

The Leonardo Hotel Derby exceeded my expectations as the ideal urban getaway. Located in Derby's vibrant city centre, it provided the perfect balance of relaxation and accessibility that I was seeking for a much-needed break from my hectic routine. Despite booking last-minute through Booking.com, I secured an excellent rate thanks to my membership benefits. The staff truly impressed me from the start, the receptionist was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, especially considering my late arrival time. The accommodations were outstanding. My room was both generously sized and impeccably maintained, while the common areas matched this high standard. The bar area features an elegant, spacious design that creates a wonderful atmosphere for unwinding. The breakfast restaurant maintains the same level of cleanliness and attention to detail, offering an extensive morning spread that includes everything from hot egg dishes and cereals to a diverse selection of fresh breads. The hotel's ambience reminded me pleasantly of Westgate Las Vegas, which added a special touch to my experience. Overall, my stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and I'm already looking forward to exploring other Leonardo Hotel locations in the future.

Quite good. Nice room but there are no plug sockets by the bed, which is unacceptable these days. Location is pleasant, although the big road outside is noisy and the hotel is quite far from the train station. There was no Leonardo Derby postcard in the room - I thought all Leonardo locations offered these as a little souvenir(?) so that was disappointing.
