Great budget-friendly hotel! The rooms were surprisingly large, very clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. While it may seem a bit far from the city center at first glance, it’s actually just a 20 minute bus ride away — super convenient. Plus, the airport is only about 17 minutes away, which is perfect if you’re traveling. Overall, a great value for the price. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for affordable accommodation without sacrificing comfort or service.

- The breakfast buffet could have been more tailored to guests outside of Scotland. By that we mean, for example, more cheeses and cold cuts. - The hotel's location just outside the city was perfect. Quiet and comfortable so we could have the window open at night. - Very good bus connections into Edinburgh city centre. - In conclusion, we can say that overall we are very satisfied with our stay with you. - It's great that you have someone on staff who can speak Swedish even though we speak fluent English.

I recently checked in to the Leonardo Edinburgh Murrayfield Hotel, having booked a twin room via Booking.com. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I discovered the room was set up with a double bed instead of the twin configuration I had reserved. I immediately contacted reception to report the issue and was told that all twin rooms were fully booked. This was disappointing, especially as there had been no prior communication about a change to my booking. I asked for extra bedding so I could separate the beds myself. Reception sent up a single duvet and one additional sheet, which was not enough to properly make up a second bed. With the assistance of the night manager, Oliver, I managed to separate the beds. He was polite and tried to be helpful, but the result wasn’t ideal. I ended up sleeping on one bed with a large double duvet, and the other bed had only a single duvet and no proper sheet. This made for a fairly uncomfortable night’s sleep. In the morning, I mentioned the issue again to reception, but unfortunately, my concerns were brushed off without much acknowledgement or apology. The lack of attentiveness was frustrating. That said, the leisure facilities were a highlight. The gym was surprisingly spacious and well-equipped compared to other hotel gyms I’ve used. The sauna and steam room were both clean and quiet, and the changing rooms were also tidy and in good condition. The pool was a good size, though children’s swimming lessons were going on at the time, which made it a little busier than expected. Had I been staying with family, I would have been very disappointed by the room situation and the lack of service. Since I was traveling with a friend, it was a bit more manageable, but still far from what I had booked and expected. Overall, this was a mixed stay. The leisure facilities were a definite plus, but the poor handling of the room issue and lack of responsiveness from the front desk left a negative impression. With better communication and attention to guest concerns, the experience could have been much improved.
