Leonardo Hotel Heidelberg City Center

Convenient location in walking distance to train station and few stops on local train from central station. Rooms are nice, very clean, but the hotel got slightly dated. My room had a nice balcony on the top floor. The A/C was efficient and quiet. The staff was very friendly, but it would be good to open up two counters at busy times. I wish they would provide a good way to fill the water tank of the coffee maker; it is hard to fill without spilling, and hard to remove, and when you manage, it does not fit well under the fosset. On my second visit, the room was very spacious and clean. Some stains on the carpet. Very nice new LED fridge, very quiet, as wax A/C. Will come back.

When booking, the room looked great in the photos – a balcony, a nice view of the city. But the reality was very different. The room was poorly cleaned, and as soon as you open the door, there’s a strong smell coming from the bathroom. Everything was old and in poor condition – the light switches didn’t work, there were some small flying insects in the bed, and stains on the carpet. The breakfast was fairly acceptable. But overall, I didn’t enjoy this experience.

The handover in staffs of reception was teribble. Although room and my stay was completely fine, I would not recommend it due to staffs in reception. I have my worse memory of a hotel stay on how irresponsible the staffs could be only due to their own weak system handover.
