Very close to the train station, which was nice for our case. The reception and eating/longue area was very cozy, and made for a an enjoyable breakfast ambience. The room itself was nice, and you can lower the temperature by opening windows. Only quirk was the lack of a lock on the bathroom in a room for three people

We had such a nice stay. The bedroom was spacious and the master bed was so big and comfortable. The hotel is in the middle of the town. A lot of eataries and bars and an intimite and tranquil feeling strolling the city center.

Update after a prompt and friendly response from the GM: The GM actually emailed me, a very nice and professional action as most companies would not do that. This means that the people at the Leonardo Hotel do care, a major reason to stay here. Obviously there is still no individual AC in the rooms, but this is only an issue during a heatwave, and the hotel does have some kind of central air management. And they no longer advertise as AC. So, great steps by the hotel management. Based on the response and actions, I do recommend the Leonardo, it's a perfect location (walking to the center, theater and the train station) and has great people. Nice hotel with facilities as typical for Dutch middle class hotel. Firm European beds, but not bad. Amenities in bathroom available, clean rooms and beds. Since it was busy, check-in took 10 minutes, no big deal. However, they advertise as Air Conditioned Hotel. This however means the rooms do not have Air Conditioning. To be clear: there is no AC in the room, there is no thermostat in the room. I called down asking how to adjust the temperature, as the room was sweltering hot, but was told the rooms do not have AC. (But there is a fan in the closet). This is false advertising: The hotel has AC but the rooms do not. The small vent you will see in the pictures blows hardly any air, and it is not cold. Asking for a 50% refund.
