Good hotel. Rooms are fine, nothing special but ticks all the boxes; the main thing is it’s very clean. It has all you need, tea & coffee, iron and hair dryer. No need for shampoo or shower gel either. Staff are polite and professional. The food is good with plenty to choose from.
I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with my recent stays at two of your properties. My experience was consistently poor and fell far below the standards I would expect from any hotel, let alone one at this price point. During my first stay, we arrived late at night and received no assistance or guidance with our luggage. The receptionist on duty was dismissive and unhelpful when we reported that the air conditioning in our room was not functional. Furthermore, the breakfast offering was minimal and lacked variety, with no apparent consideration for international or Asian guests. The poor service continued upon departure, when we were instructed to fetch our own luggage trolley, which I found to be quite rude. Regrettably, our subsequent booking at your Inverness location resulted in an even worse experience. The room had no air conditioning, and the provision of a small fan was an unacceptable solution. The room also had a non-working toilet flush and was not clean. Once again, there was no porter service available. The consistent lack of functioning amenities, poor cleanliness, and unhelpful staff across two separate hotels is deeply concerning. I will not be returning to any Leonardo Hotels and will not be recommending them to others.
Building works at night, hammer drill angle grinder and hammering going on from 11pm 3am all until 6am. Was informed each night it would cease to no avail. I ended up recording the noise on my phone. Colleagues were astonished. When I called reception to raise the issue, the noise would stop for 15 minutes then continue. There’s not much reception staff can do if the manager has okayed the works. Many guests complained yet little done. A notice went up in the lifts/reception after day 1. I stayed four nights and wish I walked out after the first. The building works were not posted on the website when booking nor in the welcome email where they bombard you with other info. I felt I was better off sleeping in the car! No apology, no one got back to me. I had to suggest changing rooms but this did not resolve (and I felt sorry for those that were placed in the room directly under the works) I changed room 3 times, the last room was a bit better room 112 had road noise as window doesn’t seal shut but room 317 was horrid.
