Leonardo Hotel Karlsruhe

City itself isnt very pretty besides the cool palace/museum area. The hotel itself is lovely, great service, a nice bath, good beds, air conditioning (though a bit soft/slow) and a decent breakfast. For the price its a good hotel! Small downside is how wet the floor gets when showering due to the water simply escaping onto the floor despite the (movable) glass.

I’ll always remember this hotel for its generosity for food and drinks! Lemon-water, a candy bar and ice-cream is available for free. The breakfast has a wide variety of food and hot drinks. I’d say the building is slightly old, but the living conditions are decent. The room has a coffee machine. The location is good, cuz it’s quite and near the trains station. On the top floor you’ll get a gorgeous view of the city!

The location was very convenient—within walking distance of the train station and well-connected to the city center by tram, which made getting around very easy. The room was okay for a short stay, with basic amenities. However, it was disappointing that there was no kettle provided, which we had expected. Unfortunately, the biggest downside of our stay was the room placement. We were given a room that shared a common wall with the utility closet/housekeeping station. From as early as 6:30 AM, housekeeping staff were moving carts in and out, and they were not quiet about it. The constant noise in the morning seriously affected our ability to rest. If you’re a light sleeper, I would strongly recommend requesting a room away from the housekeeping areas.
