I stayed at the Leonardo while having issues with leaking pipes at home. Their friendliness (and effort insuring I get a bath in my room!) made a trying time that bit easier to deal with and was very much appreciated!! Location is ideal for city centre & Barbican/Hoe. The breakfast had a wide selection of food and drinks in a comfortable space. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room, toiletries and towels. The bed was very comfortable too!

This was our 8th stay at this hotel since 2022. On our last visit our experience wasn’t good and hesitated about staying there again this time. However I was able to get a very good deal and good customer service from the manager which led to us booking again. We visit family a couple of times a year in Plymouth & the hotel is well situated for bus stops, city centre & access to transport to other parts of Plymouth etc. This stay was better than previous in that the rooms were cleaner and the hotel on the whole was clean despite being busy. Food and drinks in bar top quality and service in the bar was great every evening. Bar area and reception area well kept and reception staff do their best to help with any queries. However this time we had to wait two days for a plug for the sink (I needed one to be able to wash baby bottles) and two days for main light in room to be fixed. Two out of the four days breakfast was poor quality, no pastries or fruit yogurts & very little else to choose from due to them having a large coach party earlier in the morning. We went for breakfast each day between 8-8:30am so there really shouldn’t be items missing from the menu without notification of why at this point in the morning. On the day of us leaving we had a 7 hour journey ahead of us and would have liked to have eaten well at breakfast to set us up for the day. This wasn’t possible due to the lack of food left on the breakfast buffet. Staff weren’t very apologetic of this and it spoilt the end of our holiday, we may not return to this hotel in the future and will look for a deal elsewhere. Sad as my little girl loves being in the same hotel when we come down & the location of it beats many others in the same area.

Lovely hotel with good size rooms. Great location near the barbican. Car park next to the hotel a little difficult to find you drive past the front and its on the left but it doesn't look like a road. Breakfast wasn't great not much choice and didnt taste that good .
