Excellent Stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Forum: I had an excellent experience at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Forum from start to finish. The location is ideal if you’re looking for a quiet area with good connections to the city center. The sea views from the room were absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise. The room was spacious, and very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was varied and high quality, offering both sweet and savory options. I also have to highlight the rooftop pool: a perfect spot to relax after a busy day, with breathtaking views over Barcelona’s skyline and Mediterranean Sea. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Barcelona. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

The bar staff at the pool was AMAZING! Julian rocks! The room we stayed in was on the 12th floor. The second night, we noticed the entire floor had a musky/mildewy smell. The stench did not improve. We also could not change the AC temp to anything less than 25° C in the room. We had the knob turned to 10° C and barely any cool air. The very last night, we also noticed water was leaking in through the window. There had been some rain earlier that evening, but there were definitely several issues. Our room service was always prompt, but we never had any coffee mugs or cups until the last night of the stay. I had to use the glasses for cold drinks if I wanted to enjoy a coffee in the room. All that to say, the location is spectacular. I just wish the quality reflected it.

As a mother, this was one of the most frightening travel experiences of my life. An elevator malfunction trapped me and my young daughter for over 20 minutes. During this time, the elevator suddenly dropped several floors rapidly, causing immense fear and distress. Yet no hotel staff came to comfort us, offer updates, or provide any reassurance. My daughter was terrified, crying non-stop, and afterwards refused to use any elevator again. We had to walk down the stairs ourselves to return to our room, and no one checked if we were okay. At the front desk, there was no apology — only excuses that the manager was not available and that staff “didn’t speak English very well.” I was handed a blank piece of paper to write my own complaint. Only after our third visit to the front desk and my formal email to the hotel group did they send someone to offer a surface-level apology. However, their later written response denied key facts and shifted responsibility. There was a complete lack of empathy and respect for guest safety. Their cold and indifferent attitude made me feel unwelcome as a foreign guest. Such handling from a 4-star international hotel is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I strongly advise families not to stay here.
