Lovely hotel. Wonderfully quirky, polite staff who are happy to help. Room was lovely and I honestly cant explain how much I loved having a beautiful bathtub to relax in after long days exploring! Breakfast is great, loads of choices. Really impressed and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

We had a wonderful stay in magical May in Rome @ Leon’s Place. We got upgraded to a King room with a little patio, we were able to sit in the sun & hear birds, or watch the rain. I enjoyed a massage by the talented Irina. One of my favorite massages ever, and I’ve had many! 5 Star Review for Irina’s massage! The breakfast offering is amazing, as well as the service from all staff members. They really went above & beyond. From finding my lost sunglasses to bringing an extra blanket, they were helpful and supportive. The location is an easy walk to many restaurants and the best gelato.

I was initially excited to stay at this hotel in Rome after reading all the glowing reviews, but my experience fell short. We were given the room at ground level and upon entering the room, I was caught off guard. My immediate thought was, "Did I book a budget hotel?" The room felt off with tacky floor tiles and an overwhelming number of mirrors. To make matters worse, there was no window, and the air felt stale, making it difficult to breathe and sleep properly. In the midst of showering, I discovered there was no body wash — just hand soap, which was unexpected. The discomfort continued into the first night, and I couldn’t sleep. I was even searching for other hotels nearby and ready to forfeit the $ I’ve paid for this hotel. Thankfully, my partner went to the front desk the next morning and asked for different room (we had the ground level room initially), which we received for the second night. (Changed to a room on level 2) Looking back, it’s sad to know that the hotel thought it was acceptable to put us in such a subpar room. The room itself was in horrible condition — the showerhead was leaking, water splashed onto the ceiling lights, causing flooding in the bathroom. On a positive note, the hotel staff were responsive, fast, and friendly, which made the situation a bit more bearable. While the staff was excellent, I would likely try other hotels in Rome on my next visit. Tip to all: Do read the one star reviews when determining your hotel in Rome, not just Newest or Highest rating 👍🏼
