Leopard Trails Wilpattu

Such an amazing experience, we only stayed for one night and I so wish we had stayed longer. We had two game drives, Captain Raj and our driver were both excellent, their knowledge of, and respect for the wildlife was outstanding. The national park is stunning and we were privileged to see Bears, leopards and a bull elephant hiding in the trees. The smaller wildlife and an assortment of birds and insects are equally as important for me and we were lucky to see many examples. We loved our time at Leopard Trails. Our guides Malmi and Raj were awesome and built a great rapport and connection with every one of us. The food was amazing and we enjoyed having an unstructured and immersive culinary experience. All of the staff were super friendly and were always eager to help. Worth a visit

We really enjoyed our stay at Leopard Trails; we were lucky enough to see elephants, a bear and a leopard plus water buffalos, crocodiles and loads of birds. Our guide had a really dry sense of humour which made the safari fun and our driver would have a good career in rallying. We stayed in a tent suite with our adult children - definitely a luxury experience. It was our most expensive night of our trip but worth it. The only thing I would improve is the communication before arrival; I booked via Booking.com and received a Whatsapp message from the hotel a couple of weeks before departure demanding payment in full or the booking would be cancelled. Leopard Trails need to make it clear when payment will be taken, it's certainly not clear at the moment.
