My uncle came here before, and his photos seemed so inviting. Rest to say: the reality lived up to what the photos promised. Lovely hotel in a scenic setting, with some of the best hospitality I've ever encountered in France. The room was great, with beds that felt like you were sleeping in a cloud, and views over lush countryside. The restaurant was superb as well, with an incredible breakfast. Might I add it was one of the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, anywhere, with local produce and great service. I've been back home since yesterday but I started missing the place the moment I left.

Luxurious and fine. They really got it all. Wonderfull view, amazing, historical building, great stuff members who tried to make our stay plesnt beyond the objectives (Thank you Pakal y Antuan). The rooms were well designed, comfortable and pleasent. The swimming pool was refreshing and welcoming and do was the spa. Unfortunately, the restaurant ( Le capuchine) was closed (their two days off). The food in the brasserie was mediocre.

I booked this hotel through Booking.com with a clearly stated policy: “Free cancellation until 3 days before arrival.” I canceled exactly 3 days in advance, at 9:00am on July 16, with check-in at 3:00pm on July 19. That is 80 hours before arrival and fully within the cancellation window. Despite that, I was charged €1,997. When I called the hotel, they told me Booking.com was responsible. Booking.com says the hotel is enforcing the penalty. Neither is taking accountability. I’ve wasted hours trying to resolve this. The hotel and Booking.com are just pointing fingers, keeping my money, and refusing to honor their own written policy. The behavior behind the scenes is dishonest, unethical, ILLEGAL, and deeply frustrating. I would never stay here and I strongly suggest others book elsewhere.
