Amazing hotel: location is perfectly peaceful since it’s outside of the old town but still reachable with taxi or car. The views are stunning: old medina and mountains. The cleanliness is exceptional as well as the friendly staff and atmosphere. The pool is being cleaned really carefully, wich is to my view is great. Staff on reception is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good, I would recommend adding more of the milky products for variety (more fresh cheese, and more of a curd cheese) and spoons for coffee (I mixed mine with knife :)) Also, the prices at the bar we found quite overpriced - e.g. a cup of Moroccan mint tea is 40DH, or quite standard cocktail is 120DH minimum. On the positive note, we had our water bottles added every day and air conditioning works good. I would recommend staying at the hotel considering mentioned feedback, this is the most appropriate option in Fes.

Very disappointed. The communal areas were very nice, apart from no WC seat in the ladies. View over to Fez was worth seeing. Unfortunately my room was at the front of hotel no view at all. The room was not very clean, bathroom door was full of hand marks plug stuck down in wash hand basin I wiped all all the light sockets how the cleaner missed all that. Sockets fell out of the walls. Bed very uncomfortable the same for the pillows which had NO pillow protectors. Food very mediocre. My view is room should be clean as that is how gems spread. Shame I had 2 nights there

Disappointing Experience at El Merinides Hotel Unfortunately, my visit to El Merinides Hotel was quite disappointing. The road leading to the location was extremely crowded and even felt a bit dangerous. The main entrance was poorly lit, especially the pathway to the parking area very dark, surrounded by trees, with no lights, no proper guidance, and no visible security presence, which made it feel unsafe. Once inside the hotel’s main area, things looked a bit nicer, but still very unorganized. There was no protocol or staff guidance … people were entering and moving around as if it was a public street. When I went to the café, it was almost full, but again, no system or staff to help find a table. I had to look for a waiter myself, but couldn’t find anyone available. The aesthetic and overall atmosphere were very disappointing … outdated decor, cheap white plastic tarpaulins still being used, and worst of all, no air conditioning despite the heat. Sadly, I left shortly after entering. It’s unfortunate because the place has great potential and could easily be an amazing spot if it were managed better and maintained properly
