We traveled from Canada to visit Disneyland Paris, and this hotel was our first experience in Paris. Overall, the hotel offers a lot of great options for kids, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. However, there were a few things that left us disappointed. The cleanliness of the hotel could have been better, and the mini fridge in our room was not stocked with water, which was surprising. We also found the prices for food and other items to be quite high. Another drawback was that the rooms did not have air conditioning, which made our stay a bit uncomfortable given the hot weather. That said, we still had an okay time, and the convenience for families visiting Disneyland Paris is a definite plus.
Overall we had a good time. We booked this hotel as we were obviously visiting Disneyland and also wanted to spend another day at a hotel and we felt Explorers had a lot to offer for children. My son loved the pool and it was probably the biggest plus. The outdoor play area was good. The rooms were clean enough aka toilet, bathroom, bedsheets and towels were clean. The food was good. Staff nice enough. There were however few things that were disappointing and could be improved. The overall feeling of the hotel was a bit tired, the carpets and some sitting areas had seen better days. The soft play area was closed. The arcades were very expensive, for 10€ you could play about 4 games/10 min playtime. Few little improvements could be made that would make a huge difference. The leather seats in the lobby could be changed as well as the carpets in halls which were very stained. Could add outside some extra swings and maybe a sandpit, table tennis/mini golf etc. You have a lovely park and a pond behind the hotel to which the entrance is locked and guests have to climb over a gate to get to, it is a nice escape after the crazy bussy Disneyland. Staff could be a bit more enthusiastic, the mood was a bit flat, could have some kind of welcoming pack on arrival explaining how things work for example where to get food, how to get to Disneyland, other attractions in the area, what time pool closes. It was fairly hot 25-29°C but fan was sufficient enough. We had a good sleep, no major noises that disturbed us.
Location is the only thing that’s good about this hotel, if you’re planning to go to Disney. For the price, you can better stay at a Disney hotel instead. It is ridiculous, you need to pay for everything, nothing is included, not even water in the bedroom, nor eggs with breakfast. If you want eggs you have to pay a surcharge while the breakfast is already “included”. The quality of the buffet is bad. Everything is drowning in oil, over heated, and done with zero care. The hotel is OLD and poorly maintained. The staff at the reception is beyond unhelpful. The elevator isn’t working and I’m alone with two toddlers and needed to carry everything by myself. The pool closes twice a day! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, stay literally anywhere else, and save hassle, stress and money.
